Does FrontPage web server 98 support perl or cgi?

Hi!

Does FrontPage web server 98 support perl or cgi?

I have the FP web server installed and found the path "FrontPage webs/content/cgi-bin" after the installation. Somehow i get the error message "page not found" when I intend to run a simple .pl in the browser.

Pls help.  Or can u pls give me options to run perl with my FP web server?

Installing IIS is impossible to me,FYI.

Thanks. :)

Front page 98's web server is a very basic server you should install IIS 4.0 (its free) and install FP extensions to it.

then you can install Perl for IIS by going to http://www.activestate.com/ActivePerl/

This is a free windows based perl compiler that you will need to install on your machine.  It will automatically configure IIS appropriately.

That should be all you need.
