I recently purchased another computer that came with a HP 722C Deskjet printer. I already had a HP 694C Deskjet printer. Which one should I keep (which is the better printer)?

Set up both printers on your PC and print the same B/W doc and a photo from each.  Which one do you like best?

If one prints faster and quieter in B/W and you always print B/W...

As an additional factor, if one of them has three color cartridges as opposed to a single "color" cartridge, I'd keep that one.  The reason is that if you run out of blue ink in a single cartridge system you throw away the whole thing.  If you run out of blue in a multi-cartridge system you simply replace the one you used up.

Also, if one of them will take a double-size B/W cartridge and you primarily print B/W this might be a good choice for you.

Sorry, no info available on the 694.

I would keep the DeskJet 722.  That printer has a newer printer engine which is quicker, quieter and has much better print quality.  You'll see the main difference in printing color photos and graphics.

With the 722c you don't need to get a special cartridge or use special paper to get the best print quality with color photos, but you do need to do that with the 694.  Do a side by side comparison of the same image, you'll see better output with the 722 even on plain paper.

Even if you are not printing color photos, I would keep the DJ722 because it is quieter and has a faster print speed.
