Where can I find Drivers For HP ScanJet 5p?  I,ve reformatted hard drive with Win. 98 and can't get the drivers loaded.  Iv'e downloaded HP PresicionScan (Thanks mitchg)and installed it, but the scanner can't be found.  If there is a drive in HP Presicion Scan, what is it labeled as?When I go to Device Manager and go to Properities on the HP scanner it says NO DRIVERS INSTALLED. WIN. 98 doesn't have drivers for scanners. The original HP CD software disk has a DRIVER folder but when I open it, it is EMPTY.  Would some other scanner driver work?

I have used sj166en drivers and had good luck with this with Win NT.  These drivers were not listed as NT drivers, but worked so they might work for WIN98.  However, I can no longer locate these drivers anywhere.  If you would like me to email them to you I can.

I just found the driver I mentioned earlier on the HP site and it is listed as a Windows 98 driver! Follow this link: http://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindexes/sj5ppc_swen.html

and then download the file HP DeskScan 2.9 and Copy Utility for Windows 98 under the Microsfot Windows 98 section.

Let me know if this works.

For sphilabaum:
Before I download HP DeskScan 2.9, I want you to know that I have downloaded and setup HP PresisionScan 1.0.  Are these the same type of program?  And, when I set up PresicisonScan, the drivers still aren't installed.  What is the driver lettering (hpscnmgr.dll)?  Once I find it  how do I install it?  Will it automatically run a WIZARD program to setup?

Thanks.
