R5 server smtp problem

I have R5 installed in win98. Adn have set up the configuration document for sent internet mail out of local interent domain. But what I find is that all the internet mail is hold in moutgoing mail . when I try to reelase the held mail, it fail to release.
DO you all think what problem I have?

Do you have a connection document to the internet? I think you can't go without one

Check that DNS is configured correctly on the Win98 machine.  Domino will need to use the machine for DNS lookups for the outbound mail.

Have you used the command tell router show on the Domino console?  This should tell you the status of the Router...

I find out why now.
It was because the SMTP server of my ISP refused to  service my outgoing smtp mail.( Becasue the outgoing mail 's return address is fictionoulsy).
So after I change  the return address with a real one, then ISP smtp server accpet my outgoing mail and route it to the internet.
