Hello there DCGarret,

I take it you are wanting to use another e-mail program to send/receive e-mail.  On top of that, you want it to have the e-mail from your other mail reader.  The solution is simple.  Simply forward all of the e-mail you wish to transfer over to the other program to yourself.  In other words, forward the mail to your own e-mail address.  Then close that program, and head to your other e-mail program.  Have that one check your mail.  You will have then copyied the e-mail from one program to the other.  That is the quickest way to move/copy e-mail from one program to another.

Let me know if that is what you were looking for.

Christopher.

DCGarret,

I haven't heard from you in a while.  I found an easier way to save all of your e-mail in one shot.  Get this, Miscrosoft says it can't be done, but I've done it.  The following steps will save your special folders inside of Outlook Express, along with all of your e-mail, and address.

1.  Double click My Computer.
2.  Double click the C drive.
3.  Double click on the Windows Foler.
4.  Click SHOW Files on the left.
5.  Double click the Application Data folder.
6.  Double click the Identities folder.
7.  Double click the only folder there.
8.  You now see an Outlook Express folder.

You will want to copy and paste that folder to diskette or to another hard-drive for save keeping.  If you have more than one PC hooked up together, you can copy that folder to the same location on the other PC.  As you copy it over, it may say "overwrite files?"  Tell it yes.  Then, Open up Outlook Express on that machine, and you will have all of your mail, subfolders, and e-mail contacts.

Have a good one,
