You mention beep code, but how meny and what pattern? Does it boot the first time from floppy? If you can enter your CMOS, check the settings are correct. Also, as already suggested, check that the memory modules are properly seated.While the case is off also confirm that both the robbon cables and power cables to the FDD and HDD are properly seated.
