One of my forms contains a large text area that I would like to add a button to give the user the option to print. Does anybody know how to print just the text area and not the whole page?

you could submit that form to a new page where only the text was displayed then print the page then return the user to the original page.  No way to print just one field

you could do what bigbadb mentioned or use js to open a new window which displays the text from the textbox and then prompts the user to print when the new window loads ....
