I am very new to Linux, that said, when I try to install Linux Mandrake 7.0 on a clone, it can't find my cd-rom. I am using a Funai E295x on /dev/hdd. The install program said it may need more info, but I don't know what to put for module. Please help me get this OS installed.     James

make sure that you had configured the kernel supporting ide-cdrom, or iso9660
then try doing this
mount /dev/hdd -t iso9660 /cdrom

replace /cdrom whit any directory you want, of course before doing that inserte a cdrom in your drive
