Hi,

C++ is free under Linux with gnu c++, but maybe you should use Java for such a thing?  J Builder from Borland(inprise now) is really good and is able to work under Windows or Linux.
But I 'm not to really understand ur question :=)

1. Use any editor like VI or emacs
2. Type c++ codes
3.  gcc filename with extension will compile
4. It will create exe file
5. You can execute the file
