MSIE by Earthlink, Broser bar.

On the active broser bar it reads AltaVista Tech: Helpdesk-Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by Earthlink. Ihave cflosed my account with Earthlink as my ISP, and deleted all Earthlink from computer &folders, How do i get rid of their name from active broser bar!

How about reinstalling IE.

two ways:
1. edit the registry:
 run regedit from start,run

follow the tree down,

hkey_local_machine
software
microsoft
internet explorer
main
window title will be in the right edit that value

or download
http://www.software.legend.uk.com/Software/Windows%2095-98/Web%20Browsers/IE%20Unbranding/unbrander.exe

that program will allwo you to remove any customisation
