Hi there,

Does anyone know if it's possible to embed Quicktime VR panoramic images into a FLASH movie (I don't mean linear video mov's) ?

Thanks,

Roel

I don't believe that is possible.
At least not yet.

You could always use a popup window or a separate frame in a frames page.

you can import a QTVR .MOV file into the Flash 4 editor, add your flash content, and export as quicktime. this can then be viewed in the quicktime player. it will consist of your quicktime vr content and your flash content. :>)

three main points to consider:

1. it is not possible to embed quicktime content in the flash 4 player. flash simply allows you to author a piece that will still require quicktime to play in the browser. in a nutshell, quicktime supports flash playback, but flash player does not support quicktime.

2. when you import your qtvr .MOV file into flash, make sure you give it enough frames on the timeline, and no more/no less. each frame of the qtvr movie will occupy one frame in the flash editor, and if you add or subtract frames, it will make the qtvr movie play through all frames as if it was a normal quicktime movie.

3. from flash, when you're done, choose file > publish settings > flash and choose "version: flash 3". the version of flash supported in quicktime is flash 3.
