(BC++)exe portability

Hi,

I know that i can just transfer delphi exe to another machine and it work without some dlls or other stuff which will require setup (not using bde or acive x which need to be registred)

But currently i'm working with borland c++ bulder 4 and i need to know what files should I transfer with exe to get my app working .
Do I need to use setup if i'm not using active x or bde ?

I try to test my exe on another computer and i got some dll missing error (it was simple app)

Regrards vedran

P.S. I need to use tapi (for conecting to internet via dial up) if somone has some advices I will post another question for this

That's because you might be using r/t packages. Delphi executables can be extremely small as well if the app is built with r/t packages.

BCB exe's should be just as easy to port as Delphi Exe's.

YOu may, however, be building it with packages, in which case you need to deploy all the packages.

Thanks i found today that I need to set off runtime lib to have independent exe which is larger than delphi's(232) c++(>300) .
That has no sense at all

But anyway thanks,

Do you have some tips about my tapi problem ? so that I post another question

I don't exactly what you what, but depending on what it is, I may be able to help you. Posting another Q is a good idea, because other experts might want to help you out as well.
