can't create custom control in formView?

I'm writing a database program and I need to create a custom inside the CFormview dialog template. But when I put the custom control in and run the porgram, the program will "fail to create empty document". how do I solve this. Even I've try to create a simple db program using app wizard, I also can't create custom control inside the formview. help please

Hi!
What method you use to create custom control?
Is you add in in the resurce template?
if it true you must register custom contril class before create form having it.
