saving sent items?

If i add a sent item to a folder i've created and then delete the sent item in the sent item folder, the item that I saved also gets deleted.  Is there a work around for this?

This functionality exists in the R5 mail template.  When you go to delete mail from the Sent view a box appears with the message..

"You are about to delete the selected document(s) from the Sent view.  This action will delete the selected document(s) from all folders they belong to.

Would you like to continue deleting these documents or remove them from the Sent view instead?

Delete    Remove    Cancel"

If you have a prior release to 4.6 then you can not delete the document from the sent folder without deleting it everywhere in the db.  Basicly the SENT view is a view and not a folder.  It says show me all the memos I have SENT.  If you delete a document from a view then you delete it from the entire db.  Folders are different from views in that they are merely links to the original document.  So if you remove a document from a folder you are really just removing the link to the original document, you are not actually deleting it.
