Opening with full "inbox" window, UGH!

I am new to Outlook Express, but I am trying to help a friend
that is new to computers.  When I click onto OE, I  go directly to
"msimn.exe" and my screen shows four windows, [down from left]
"folders", contacts, [down from right], list of email in input file, and under
that the detail email on the list that is highlighted.

That's what I want, but I went to his home today, and  the Outlook
Express from the desk top is shortcutting with "msimmn.exe" just
as mine is, but

?is screen shows only the "list of email" [see above] window, and it
covers the entire screen. To send email, etc, he must flip back and forth
to single windows to obtain the address, compose, etc.

We are coded the same way in tools, options, general.  I believe it is some-
thing he has clicked by mistake, but it wasn't in options. I have  tried to
slide the edges of the window, but I can't seem to get him back to the
composite of four windows.

How do I get him back to what I have, the four windows in one?

From the main menu bar in OE5 select View > Layout.  The checkboxes at the top control what features you would like shown.

Neo mvps,

It looks good.  I tested it on my computer, so
I now see what it does.

Tomorrow, I will go by my friends house and
ascertain that this is his problem. If it is, and
I hope it is, I think maybe he has been doing
a lot of clicking.

I will be back tomorrow. Thanks for the post.

Neo mvps,

Excellent, thank you for the brief and exact
answer.

I called my friend having the problem this
morning. With each of us on the same screen,
it took only a few minutes to instruct him on
the boxes to check or dot, then to test.
