Event ID 2012-Server Encountered Network Error

I keep getting an (NT Server 4.0 SP6a) Event ID 2012 - The Server Has Encountered a Network Error in the Event Log 2 or 3 times a day and various times.  Already read MS artice Q195641 cause the server is running Pervasive SQL.  It doesn't appear to be a problem on the network but I'd still like to get it resolved.  Server is running IP and IPX (to connect to NW5 server) and the protocols seem to be working just fine.  Any help would be appreciated.

try article Q200017, url is here

it states that generally there is a connectivity problem, and has 1 solution, replace the nic on the server in question, or contact the manufacturer for an updated driver for the nic.

also try article Q193839

this states that it can be caused by a status_buffer_overflow smb error.

This may also be due to heavy traffic on the network or the server being to busy to answer a request. Have you tried running perfmon on the servers on this network segment to get an idea of the total amount of traffic?
What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.
