Outlook Express V5 -unable to send

When trying to send mail from OE Iget the message the connection to the server has failed.  ..........Protocol:SMPT, Port 25, secure (SLL):No. Socket Error: 10051, Error number 0x800CCC0E.  iI do not have any of the SSL protocol enabled and I can receive but NOT send email

The error means...

0x800CCC0E - Cannot connect to server.

Verify that your SMTP settings are correct for your ISP. (Tools > Accounts > Mail tab > <Account> > Properties > Server tab.

Note: This error will be given occasionally when your dial up session hangs.  I usually find that if I disconnect/reconnect to the web or reboot the computer that the error will go away.

Note, they do not allow relaying from outside entities.
