Accessing the OutLook Address Book

Can anybody tell me how I can access the Outlook Addresses/Contacts ?

I need to be able read and write to the outlook contacts.  

Is there an ODBC Driver for this ?
Or do I have to use MAPI ?

Any example code around ?

Use CDO or Extended MAPI.
