Trust Relationship Bet_n Window 2000 & Window NT

My network condition is as follows
PDC:WindowNT
BDC:WindowNT
New PDC:Window 2000
When I was trying to trust relationship with both PDC FROM Window2000 Active Directory Trust/Service I got following msg:"The Remote network is not reachable by the transport"
Is there Anybody has idea??
I'm not Network guy but i want to set up trust rel_n bet_n Window NT & Window 2000
If anybody has step by step procedure Or any resouces is avaialable would be more helpful

Hi,

I have a similar problem before and just remember it is something to do with name resolution. What kind of connection do you have between the 2 domains? Can they see each other? What are the TCP/IP configurations? Win2k works on DNS, how is your DNS zones configured? Check these.

Thanks Huben.I tested today both can see each other.I can Ping both.Both are same TCP/IP Configuration??Can you tell me how to configured DNS??I checked MSFT website didn;t find any sources for that.

Sorry for the late response.

When you say you can ping both, can you ping byDNS names/host names and NetBIOS names? If not, try editing both HOSTS and LMHOSTS file on both PDCs.

It is a bit hard for me to tell you how to set up DNS through here. Check the following URL and see if they can give you any hints from networking section:

Sorry for late response.But due to time constraint I uninstalled 2000 & reinstalled Window NT 4.0
