How to auto type the text?

Create a movie and add a key frame at frame 10 and assign the action Stop to this frame.
Then draw a text field ( variable name: TypeField )of the size you want for your text to type and put the text inside ths box.
Then convert it to movie clip named AutoType and give it a instance name of typer.

Inside the movie clip add a layer and in this layer create blank key frames at frames 1,2,3 and 5.

In frame 1 give the action:

Set Variable: "TextBuffer" = TypeField
Set Variable: "TypeField" = ""
Set Variable: "TextLen" = 1

In frame two give the action:

Call ("5")

In frame 3 give the action:

Go to and Play (2)

In frame 5 give the action:

If (TextLen<=Length (TextBuffer) and TextLen<>0)
      Set Variable: "TextLen" = Eval ("TextLen") +1
      Set Variable: "TypeField" = Substring (TextBuffer,1,TextLen)
Else
      Set Variable: "TextLen" = 0
End If

Thats it.
