Windows Temp files.

Every time a user launches anything from withing Lotus Notes an exact replica of the file is stored in the windows temp file. The temp file can reach 40mb at times.  Everyone knows the problems associated with having to much in the windows temp file. Rather than installing a program like Tweak UI on each users PC, (which could be very dangerous) what would be the best way to empty the temp file with no user interaction.

That won't work ... it will prompt the user.  Besides, it's the wrong directory.

You'd have to do:

echo Y | del c:\windows\temp\*.*

However, this won't delete any subdirectories.  To do that, you'd have to delete the entire temp directory, then recreate it.

You could try:

deltree /y c:\windows\temp
md c:\windows\temp

However, I will warn you that some installers will actually leave some items in c:\windows\temp, then reboot in order to complete the installation ... but if these are executed, all the temp files are gone.

Good luck.
perhaps a line in the autoexec bat?

del c:\windows\*.tmp
