save as button

In regards to playing a mpeg or quicktime file:

Are you able to create a button on a webpage that replaces the
right-click action allowing you to save as?
eg. insted of right-clicking on a mpeg file we have a button that brings
up the window asking you where you would like to save the file.

Interesting problem, I don't think you can do that with basic HTML, you might be able to do that using scripts in the HTML file. I've never seen such a button feature before.

By creating a *.gif or *.jpg button and linking it to the movie file, you could bring up the "run or save" option window, but I don't know if it is actually possible to go directly to the "Save as" box.

EllieArroway,

Are you saying to use an image as a button and linking it to the movie file using a form action or using the link tag? Please clarify your solution. If it is using the link tag, it wouldn't work. But I don't know about forms.
