Frames / Links

Pretty simple question I'm sure, but can someone tell me how to do the following.  I have a frame set up (left/right windows).  In the right window I reference another web site.  When clicking on the URL, the reference appears in the right window.  I would prefer it to appear in the entire window or open a new explorer.  I've tried all four options under the target (in the properties).

Thanks,
Kathy

The four options should work.

To open in a new window you should set:-

target="_blank"

To open on top of all of the frames set:-

target="_top"

Using dreamweaver select the link and then select one of the four options you mentioned. You say you have done this so I can't see why this hasn't worked.

You should check the HTML has oone of the options mentioned above.

Is the page online and can I see it. I will be able to tell you where you are going wrong then.

Hope this helps

I didn't try it yet.  I thought I had tried that already but I'll try it again.

Thanks for the graphics tip and I will probably take you up on the buttons, although I will attempt to download and create some myself.

I just want some for my personal web site:  www.design-plan.com.  I need Access, Visual Basic, Dream Weaver and the other buttons listed.  Let me know how many points it will cost me.  I need a cool logo too ...(Browning Systems) And I need to know which is the best program to register to search engines.  I bought Traffic Builder but I don't think it worked.

Typical American huh (asking way too much).

If you can't help any more I understand, and thanks in advance for all of your advice.

Kathy
I have no problem with doing the images.

Obviously I want as many points as I can get so just gimme gimme :-)

The buttons you want are for the text on the table at the top of the resume?

no probs.

Any preference on colours and ideas for the logo.

What sort of logo is it, do you want a banner type thing advertising your site or an actual icon style logo.
Ben:

I have a copy of Fireworks and it is great.  I'm designing my buttons (for the left frame), but think I am going to need a professional do my logo.  I have no ideas.  Want it to be a icon that says Browning Systems.  Then I want two other icons that say design and plan.  What are you thinking as far as points... 500?

Kathy
500 would be lovely.

As for the icon, I will need a few days to come up with ideas and to actually make the thing.

I don't have the internet at home, but have it at work (obviously)... This means you probably won't see version one for a few days (Monday at the earliest).

Do you have an e-mail address that I can send samples too?

Hope I can help

ben
Sure, send samples to KathyBrowning@hawkaccess.com

I'm posting another question regarding layers and behaviors in Fireworks.... (if they have a Fireworks section).

Oh one more thing.  When offering the 500 points earlier, I was considering a little over 150 per object, being 3 objects.  Playing with Fireworks I've created my own Design and Plan buttons; however still need a "Professional" logo.

Can we settle for the one logo for 200 points.  Additionally, I need help with just a couple of Fireworks questions and they don't have a Fireworks section.  I believe you'll still get your 500 points from me, just now it will be with questions and one logo.  Sound good?

I'll post the questions in this area if you will give them a look.

Thanks,

Kathy
I know Fireworks as well. And am willing to attempt to help you.

I have actually designed a logo for you already, and 200 points would be fine.

Post the questions in the Web Developemnt, Images section as I'm actually on the real experts top 15 for that section and would love to move up a few places.
