I know this doesn't fit here but I want to ask this group because I think this the most level headed discussion group on EE.
Has anyone heard of Python?
It is supposed to be a fairly powerful language. Is it? how good is it at DB projects?

Points go to longest answer.(or most complete)

Python is an interpreted language, written in C, and is actually closer to a scripting language (like Perl, Tecl/Tkl, etc).

According to popular belief, it's extremely easy to use and learn, making for a good language for beginners (who need higher level languages).

There's a lot of info about at www.python.org Anything I cna say here is not enough compared to the amount of info you'll find at python.org

Python can also be added to a Delphi program: Python for Delphi (by Martinet - Budelsky - Makarewicz) at www.multimania.com/marat

Yes Very Much.
Here are the points.
We have talked about Python a little in our office.
I like to show the president of our company how very flexible and powerful Delphi is and that link to Python for Delphi helped.

It does sound like a nice environment though. Something I look forward to trying out.

Thanks again
