Extra net is the part of the organization Intranet open for other organizations members. This is nothing but what we see in the Internet about any company. Suppose I type http://www.pww.philips.com
Then this portion of Philips Intranet is exposed to external members apart from Philips Employees, so this is extranet for Philips.
