ScanJet compatibility with USB and Windows 2000 Professional

I have a PC with W2k Professional with USB port. I tried to install ScanJet ADF model C6270 A of the 6200C series.
It crashed the operating system and I had to reinstall it.
Now, can I do something about it or do I have to install a SCSI port on the computer?

hiya
at present this scanner is not supported on win2kpro via usb only scsi card - drivers are being developed at the moment and will be available asap
