Runtime error 5853 on starting Word2000
Always when I start Word2k on a Win2k machine, I get an VB run time error 5853. Anyone an idea how to get rid of it? Thanks

Yep it is more than likley a Macro in the the normal.dot template...unless you have customised it to bits I would just delete the file and create a new one......I also had a similar problem today but in excel which caused my NT to crash....I deleted everything in the startup folder from Dos and the PC started fine again......don't know how relevant this is to your current problem...

Thanks, that worked. Thanks for putting the location. I was running under NT profiles, so the location is under Documents and Setiings/.....
