Outlook error message...WININET.DLL

I recently had cable installed for my internet access. However, when I open Outlook Express 5, the old Dialup Connection window comes up and when I cancel it, I get the following error message:

MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in
module WININET.DLL at 015f:7022f83b.

and when I "Close" the error message, Outlook shuts down.  I've uninstalled Outlook (using Add/Remove) and reinstalled it from Windows UpDate, but the same thing still happens.
The version of Wininet.dll I have is 5.50.4030.2400. The Internet Explorer version is the same number.

Any suggestions?   Thanks!

You're right, the old dialup connection had been removed. But you pointed me the right direction. I recreated the old dial up connection, connected the old way and got into Outlook and was able to make the necessary changes (removed all references to the old settings). Closed Outlook, disconnected from the old dial-up server. And now everything is fine.  Thanks !  Now I just have to figure out how to give you the 50 points!
