Hi all
I want to know if there is a way where i can dictate what is loaded at what time when my .html page is requested..
My page has lot of frames and when the page is requested the frames do not load in a proper sequence giving a scary look for the first timer on my web-site..
I believe that there must be some javascript solution .
Please help asap

Thanx and Regards

Why do you suspect that there may be a JavaScript solution?
Do your current web pages use javascript?
What do you mean by scary?
Can you tell me more about what it looks like now and how you would like it to look like?

Well and i thought that you will never respond..Thanx
Well in the Default pages i have around
6 frames ..
Three pages contain applets which load simulaneously but after a long time..
the other 3 frames have normal html pages in them..
The basic problem is that noit even all the frames come on togather on the screen
Initially one frame will comeon then another..
so the whole default page when it loads looks real Stupid and thus gives a very bad impression of our site..
Maybe you can help me now..
What i want is a way to control..
that is the which frame will be visible when..
Thanx and regards

To be perfectly honest, it sounds as though you may be trying to put too much into your homepage.  But...

I would start by making sure that you have optimized your picture file sizes.

Then, I would add some "Please wait, loading..." messages to be displayed while your web site is loading.

Third, I would try to see if there weren't some other alternative to using Java applets.

Lastly, I would consider re-doing the homepage in such a way that the applets are pre-staged.  In other words, let the visitor step through a couple of web pages that each pre-load one of your three applets.  Then after they have been pre-loaded into the web browser cache, allow the visitor to see your "assembled" web page.

I am still having a hard time trying to visualize what the specifics are in your situation, but I hope that this helps you somehow.
