Invalid System Disk

I recently re-formatted my HD but when I re-boot with the boot-floppy in the computer fails to pick up the boot-floppy and presents me with an "Invalid system disk, please replace it and press any key" message. How do I get the computer to pick up the boot floppy?

The following is a cut/paste from another case here which was given by

if youre disk properly connected and configured in BIOS,
you have damaged boot record, missing OS boot files, or primary partition
                    dos't set to aktive

                    To verify/resolve this

make bootable disk on working computer : "format a: /s"
place on this disk fdisk  and sys

Boot with floppy (You should have setting in BIOS which allow to boot from A first)
                    run fdisk
                    press 4
make sure that primary partition status set to Active (should have c:1  A)

                    A) If you don't see A char, press ESC, then 2, set primary dos partition as Active, reboot
                    B) If you see char A, run sys c:, reboot
