Sure this must be possible....

If I create a sub folder to my Contacts in Folder Layout in Outlook 2000 (win95) it appears in the address book at the bottom under my Contacts fine but when I just type in someone into the 'To' box and they are on that sub-list and then "check names" it can't find the user.

Any Ideas how you can get these to be recognised as they are valid names that can be selected from the sub-section fine - just not automatically??

Thanks Again

Hi Cmuir!

Sounds like the pecking list does not contain the subfolder.  I have Outlook 98, however, I don't think the location of this has changed.  From within the Inbox, go to Tools/Services.  Go to the Addressing tab.  On the bottom, where it says "When sending mail ..." check to see if your subfolder is listed in the box.  If it isn't, this is why check names does not work on the subfolder.  To add the subfolder, click on the Add button from this screen.  This will allow you to select the subfolder from a folder list-like view.  Click Apply/OK where applicable.  Test the check names feature to see if this did the trick.

Good luck & Regards, Vickala2964
