I have create a setup package (by using Package & Deployment Wizard). When i try to install it at my college's computer. It give me the error messages below :

   1) Failed to load resource DLL c:
windows\system\oledb32r.dll

   2) An error occurred while registering the file c:\windows\system\oledb32.dll

I ignored all the errors and at the end my installation was successfully completed. The system was run as normal except that when i want to print report,
it show me an error "ADO could not find the specified provider".

I suspect the following ADO command in my program cause this error

adoShare.ConnectionString= "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.3.51;Data Source=c:\example"
.....

One more question for report printing, sometime the following error will show
"Fail to create ActiveX component"

Your answer was very much appreciated !!

If your PC is running Win9x, did you execute DCOM98.EXE?

Is MDAC_TYP.EXE part of your setup?

Change your connection string to use Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0;

I does not answer your question but I had similar problems, i finally gave it up and am now using the Visual Studio Installer that you get for free from the Microsoft Site. It's much better than the Paxkage & Deployement wizard which is very buggy. If you are interest I can organize you the address of a site that is full with the list of bugs of the deployment wizard. Nad I believe there is a reason that MS is distributin the Visual Studio Installer for free.
