Translation BMP to GIF under VB

Do you know vbx/dll allowing to translate BMP to GIF in 16 bit environment ?

I use METAGIF but the 16 bits version does not allow me to di it

part of the answer pointed to a dead web link

I still have to evaluate the proposed software
but apperently the solution is 32 bits only and
I wanted to find a 16/32 bits solution (VB3...)
