Translation BMP to GIF under VB

Do you know vbx/dll allowing to translate BMP to GIF in 16 bit environment ?

I use METAGIF but the 16 bits version does not allow me to di it

Saving to GIF format means paying license fee, read...

If you want to, you can convert bmp's to jpg's instead, using FREE code from...

part of the answer pointed to a dead web link

I still have to evaluate the proposed software
but apperently the solution is 32 bits only and
I wanted to find a 16/32 bits solution (VB3...)
