Hello, gurus,

Does anyone know why we are getting a message on just one machine that says "Windows installer has failed prematurely".  This has worked well on other machines using Win95.  It is a Dell machine PII.  BTW, the operation is installing Outlook Express 2000.  The message appears during the install.

Thank you.

In your c:\windows\temp directory there is a setup log file, [called setup.log I think] It will give a vague description.  Sometimes we had an install fail because of a older version of IE previously on the PC that gave problems when installing IE5
