Video Problems

I am using Redhat 6.0 on a Toshiba Satellite Pro 410CS. I have gotten MetroX to run using the Trident8900 video card driver. However this does not support 800x600 only 640x480 which will not do. Where or how do I get this to use 800x600, where are drivers for this. I am a newbie to Linux as if you couldnt tell.

I don't know if it helps because I cannot verify it (I lack these portable :) )

Usually it is a good thing to disable display expansion/stretching in the Laptops BIOS Setup when you cannot select other resolutions than 640x480.

Please tell me, if it also works with Toshiba portable.

Ok, because this didn't work I couldn't go to sleep yet and did a little searching. Try this XF86config file. This should work:

Good luck :)
