How can I import or open all the files done in Adobe Illustrator?? Did I screw up somewhere so there's no way I can import or open .ai files into Flash. One other thing, I am using a downloaded trial version of Flash. Does that matter?? I am still trying out Flash.

hello -

you can certainly import .ai files into flash. please note that the .ai files must be saved as version 6 or earlier from illustrator. you should still be allowed to import later versions, but they won't come in right.

if you are saying that you don't have the option to choose .ai files in the import dialog box, that is different. make sure you choose "all files" under the "all formats" drop-down box. if this does not work, it may be an operating system issue - details (mac or win, version, etc.) may be needed.

also, the trial version of flash and the full are absolutely identical with the exception that the trial times out after 30 days.
