I keep getting a repair meesage from my Norton WinDoctor that states.."The key,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run," refers to a registry value "EnsoniqMixer" that points to "starter.exe", an invalid start up command. I can have WinDoctor fix it automatically, but it will rewrite itself and crash in about 10 minutes.....any ideas?

Sounds like the software for your soundcard is causing a few problems. You could try removing it and re-adding it, or at least re-installing the drivers.

If you have no luck with this you could try emailing Ensoniq or looking at a support site like this one:
http://www.ctlsg.creaf.com/support/faqs/sound/ensoniq.html

If all else fails you could try putting an dud vb EXE file called starter.exe in location it's looking for!!!!

Ok?,

mwintle,
Please make your try this and try that marked as a comment...it's not an answer.

Jackh,
Tweakui has a "Clear Run History at Logon".
I suggest you give that a go.
