I am installing windows 2000 prof. edition, when i reach to intalling devices the screen flickers once then it hangs up, did it many times, no use.. i had win 98, and i have my work on it i can't get to. so what can i do to run windows.

I'm afraid to say that if you ran Win2K setup in Upgrade mode, and it got as far as trying to install devices before hanging, you've almost certainly killed your existing system. Providing you didn't convert the drive from FAT32 to NTFS you should re-install Windows 98 and all the applications you had installed on it--you can then delete the WINNT folder to free up the space.

Oh, and a quick word of advice: always, ALWAYS back up your data before installing a new OS!
