What you need is the JDBC driver to be installed on the server (mm.mysql driver for MySQL JDBC).  The MySQL JDBC driver can be downloaded from http://www.mysql.com (http://www.mysql.com/Contrib/).  Also, the main site for downloading the driver is: http://www.worldserver.com/mm.mysql/.

Download and install it as instructed in it's documentation and you'll have the JDBC driver for MySQL.  If you have an older version, install this because the older version had some bugs in it that caused problems connecting.

Good luck!
