Can someone tell me how to get a free image-combo control that is not buggy? 256 colour?

what version of vb do you have?  in the microsoft common controls of vb6 there is an imagecombo control.  someone i answered a question to before about this had vb5 and was able to get it at the ms site somewhere still.

I'm afraid that answer is totally unacceptable. If I had VB6 I would have found the control by now. I have VB5. If you were able to tell me the address where I can download it, or if someone could send it to me, that would be of some help. I have not been able to find it at the MS site.

well if you have ever downloaded a project that used the vb6 common controls you would have it already.  you might try browsing your windows directory for the mscomctl.ocx to see if its there already.  otherwise there are many places on the web you can download it...i could even email it.  here is one place i went and found that has it for download:

about halfway down the page is download for greocx.zip which includes the new common controls ocx.  good luck!
