Hi
i am trying to connect a Pc application to a PostgreS data base on Linux, I've got ODBC driver to Postgres, but when I am doing my application using visual C there is a message:( No pg_hba.config entry for host ***.**.**.* user hola, database adios ). I think that the DSN spefication for the ODBS are not right, so
How can I set up the ODBC driver to connect to a Postgres data base in another machine.
thanks

It sounds like you have to modify (edit) the pg_hba.conf file and uncomment (delete the '#' in front of the word 'host') (or add) the line:

host all 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 trust

after this, stop the postmaster and restar it.  (find the process id and kill using this command: KILL -HUP pid)

Does this help??
