Carmageddon 2

I have successfully intalled(or so i think) Carmageddon 2, but when I go to launch it it gives the error message "Can't Find Executable". Please help, any suggestion will be helpful.

look if carmageddon 2 directory is present in the database registry (use regedit.exe and do a search on carma* )

Alright there is a whole string of files for carmageddon in the regestry.
Any other ideas?

look in the registry if there are a path key (for example) or similary and put the location of carmageddon .

example :

path : "c:\game\carma2"

I am sorry to have to ask this but i need to know the whole this truthfully

1. Is the software prirated?
2. Did u get it from a legal distributor
3. What version is the game?
4. What is your sistem configuration?

To me it seems like it is a clasic case software protection conflict.

I can recommend u to site to get a patch if i know the anser to the above question..

if you have a warez copy of the game it will do that or if you updated a patch for the it might cause the problem.

Yeah my friend burned it for me and I got the patch. But the thing is the patch solved my problem with the "Can't Find Executables" error message that I was getting previously. As for the version I have no idea what it is or where to find it.

I burned a copy of that game also.. the EXE file is protected, and the patch fixes this.. but if you update to a later version it will not longer work as the patch was designed to work on ver 1.

To find out the version, just use explorer and goto the game folder of the .exe file

then right click the file and select properties

It should show u the current version of the exe.

I got a 'backup' copy of this game and it works perfectly.. no patchs required or anything
