Rescue my hard- drive...

I have a 133MHz processor with 40MB RAM and 1.5GB hard disk. Yesterday i bought a new 15GB hardisk and i installed it, and everything was fine.
When i tried to install DOS on my new Hardisk, it started Formatting my old one. When i saw this i terminated the format process by CTRL+ALT+DEL(after 15%).
The BIOS recognizes the old hardisk but i cant view what is in side it.
Now i installed WIN95 on my new hardisk.
Is there any way that i cas rescue the information (or part of it) that's on my old hardisk?

Hi oyagev

There is a part of Norton Utilities that allows you to recover data from formatted hard drives .. I can't remember which sub-program it was tho' .. If you can get hold of NU, run the menu and you should find it quite easily .. There is also an unformat command with some versions of DOS but unfortunately not all ..

Failing all that, there are quite a few businesses that specialise in recovering from these sorts of accidents .. If it's highly valuable data then you could try that but be warned - it will be quite expensive ..

Hope this helps
