Hi Elad,

I've done the same with no problems. Make sure that you saved your gif as transparent, and then import it to flash with File, Import.

Hope this will help you.

Roy

Hi elad,

Yes it's possible to do that. I think that when you use png's you will have a better result.

use fireworks to make png's transparent. mess about with the optimize panel. Alternatively, import the gifs, trace them and then select the black areas and delete them :)

Hi eladr,

For GIF:
There are 2 methods for making GIF.

The two gif files give you jagged ends, since they are made of pixels, for that u have to take same or similar bg color or design of your movie clip and place it as BG of your image and make it transparent , which is little difficult. SO you can go for PNG transparent image;the file size of PNG will be little more than GIF, but the exporting image will be clear. Anyway Iam giving for both.

First method:
1. You have to change that image mode from RGB to Indexed color.Click "Image" menu and then "mode".

2.You have to make trnsparent by clicking "file", "Export" and "GIF89A Export". An option box will come with your image.

3. You have to pick colour(by eyedrop tool in the option) which u want to clear.

4.And save the file.

Second method:IT is possible only in photoshop 5.5.
1. Just copy your image and paste in a new file having transparent BG.

2. And then Go to "FILE" and click "Save for web" and Select "GIF" from the settings and make check the "Transparent" option box. and click "OK".

For PNG:IT is possible only in photoshop 5.5.
1. Just copy your image and paste in a new file having transparent BG.

2. And then Go to "FILE" and click "Save for web" and Select "PNG-24" from the settings and make check the" "Transparent" option box. and click "OK".

Now Import both GIF and PNG files in your movie clip; You can know the difference between images.

Hope it will help you
