Recycle Bin Weirdness...Help

I'm working in Win2K Pro. Awhile back when I changed the target of the "My Documents" folder to my data partition it made a copy of the Recycle bin to all 3 of my windows partition. I can't see all three recycle bin's unless I'm in windows explorer. When I right click and select properties it shows the same thing and the 3 recycle bins can be configured independently. If you delete something it shows in all 3 bins. I tried deleting one of the bins off my swap partition and it just reappears after a reboot. How do I get the recycle bin to reside on just one partition?

Here's a screen shot of what I'm talking about.

-You are talking about something that is a standard feature of windows.. Every person in  the world has a recycle bin on each partition. Why would you want to disable something of the basic functionality of windows....
-What Im saying is... Its not a problems...Its normal.

This works in 98, and you can try it in w2k
right click on the recycle bin on your desk top and choose properties, then from the global tab, configure each drive seperately, and make the other drives zero. It will still show up in explorer, but be zero bytes
Stevenlewis, long time... How are you ?
Doin good here Housenet, been busy, but am enjoying the Memorial day weekend. How about you?
pretty good.. Very busy at work.. Did 4 cores in 4 weeks at the same times for 2K...
-When I did my original mcse in 97-98 I did not do nt workstation & did win95 instead. Because of this I was not entitled to do 70-240.. I thought about it & decided, if I just studied for 240.. I should be able to do the indivuals...so I did... One more core left & 2 electives.
Very good! I was kinda hoping you did the 240 to let me know how it was *grin* Were they tuff?
-They were not tough at all.. The server & pro exams were a real joke. I'd say only network infrastructure 216 gave me a little trouble.. The sybex 240 book I had didnt mention almost anything about native mode ras policies & I have about 15 questions on that.. Still passed but was disapointed with the score... Over all Id say 210-15-16-17...for someone who knows NT very well.. very easy. I'm going to do 219 probably in a week or 2... 2 electives...after my move & vacation.

That is interesting. The other recycle bin files were hidden before. I even got a recycle bin folder in the "My Documents" folder. It doesn't really affect the way I work, but it's an eyesore. Is there a way to hide these extra folders? Before I changed the target of the "My Documents" folder I could not see the recycle bin in other partitions. Also when I delete something off c: it appears in all 3 recycle bins. I'm not sure if this takes up space on these drives or not. I would not want it taking up space in my swap partition. I do have 2 of my partitions configured to use 0% space and to delete files automatically. Still when i delete a file off c: it still appears in all 3 recycle bin files
The other recycle bin files were hidden before
before what?

Before I changed the target of the my documents folder from the c: to my data partition. Please refer to my intial post for more information
and you do have them configured seperately in the global tab of the properties for the recyle bin? try changing it to use one setting for all drives and see what that does

Using the one setting for all drives sets them to use the 3% total drive space, wait for me to empty recycle bin that i have for the c: drive.

I figured it out. Somehow the show hidden files and folders were checked. Control panel- Folder options- View- Do not show hidden files and folders.
Glad you got it figured out. The folders are still there, just you can't see them now
