Messenger service won't start...
Clean install of W2KPro on a new machine, and the Messenger Service won't start, so I end up with errors in the event log. The errors show up immediately after a clean install (before any software or updated drivers are installed). After installing updated drivers, SP2, etc, I still have the same problem.
The specific error code is 2119, which from MS means:
"The server is currently out of the requested resource.
Explanation: The server could not access enough of a resource, such as memory, to complete this task.
Action: Try again later. If you continue to receive this message, stop some nonessential processes or applications and try to complete the task again. If you still have problems, your network administrator may need to reconfigure your system. "
There are 80 or so other machines running without this problem. This problem has persisted for about a week now. I've reinstalled 3 times.
All services that Messenger are dependent on are started. Restarting it after booting results in the same error.
Configuration:
Gigabyte 6VX7B-4X with latest bios
PIII-933
256Mb (tried 3 different pieces)
40Gb Quantum ATA100
ATI AGP Rage Pro 32Mb
On board sound
Intel PCI NIC (using W2K built in drivers)
W2KPro (with and without SP2)
Messenger Service seems to be related to NetBios, but that is installed, and all networking functioning appear to be working.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Pagefile is 384Mb (1.5 x Ram) up to 768Mb. Sitting idle, only 63-70Mb is in use, so there is plenty of memory available.
The SFC scan didn't find anything wrong.

Maybe there is another machine with the same name on your network. Try changing the computername and see what happens.
