Converting gif file to vrml format?

HI, i would like to ask if a gif file format can be converted into a vrml format?

Is there any softwares available in the market to do this task?

I do not know of any converter for this, and I would not expect to find any.
This is so because of the fact that a GIF file is a 2-d image, or if animated, a collection of images, and vrml was created for display of 3-D data (like CAD files or the like).

vrml files are often used to create 3-d files that do not require the actual CAD or 3-d program to view - just a freeware viewer.  This is very much like converting word, illustrator.... files to PDF format so that they can be viewed with the free acrobat viewer.
