Hi,

Each time I press tab an asterisk is inseted, and if I press enger an asterik is inserted. I have removed the keyboard drivers, unplugged the USB keyboard, re-botted, several times.  This phenomenon works on all of my programs, it's driving me crazy.  Thanks.

(1)Try a new keyboard. Might be the hardware problem.
(2)Also check Windows Fonts. Make sure that fonts have not been deleted accidently.
(3)Make sure you are not infected by a macro virus

Thanks.  But the keyboard seems fine, I have used Tweak UI to rebuild the fonts, and run Norton antivirus.  This is perplexing.

Yes, I still have the problem.  I have a Compaq and also tried reinstalling it's easy access buttons since that is the only thing that could also affect the keyboard.  I tried but the "restore" feature just goes on and on forever.  I'm about to just back it all up and do a complete restore unless you have any other ideas.  Thanks.
