The Sims Livin' large Expansion Pack doesn't work.

My problem is when i buy something (e.g the red bed, new chair..), i can saw them in the menu and i can buy it and arrange it properly in my house.

When i click the "Live Mode", most of the thing come from expansion pack (red bed and chair) are disappear.

Any idea?  I tried to download files from maxis to solve this problem. But still the same.

I read some web page, it said reinstall everything (the sims) and remove all register related to "The Sims" can solve this problem.. But, cannot solve mine. :(

hmmm tough one, did you install both the sims and the expansion pack to the default directory?  If not try it!

Another thing, are you using a saved game from before you bought the expansion pack and trying to put new items on to an old house, because that might not work?

Other than that I can't think of anything else that could go wrong - hope this helps!

I try to install in default directory and other directory.  But still the same. :(

Besides, using old house (saved file) or new house also the same.  Some items will disappear for first few times i buy it..Sometimes it will not disappear, then i buy more than one and use it already.

Really no idea how to solve this problem.  The sims web site said the problem is because of patch file in expansion pack.. But, when you install expansion pack, it will install patch file for you..

Do you play The Sims house party?  If compare with livin' large, which one is better?  :D

You are using the Expantion Pack CD when you play the game yeah? Sorry if im insulting you there but that could be the problem. Also you cantr remove the CD. As for some of the items in the demo's and videos what exactly were you refering to?

Just one more thing, You did install the original sims game THEN the expansion packs (in order of relaease). The maxis website has a variety of solutions to avoid your symptoms.

I think u have a copied version of the sims. ( maybe the expansion ). I used to have a copied version of the sims when i tried to install the livin' large it only features items that are downloaded from the sims website. But when i bought the original version, the expansion installed a whole new lot of items ( as the game said, over 150+ items are included with addition lots, 5 career tracks and new windows, doors, etc...)
