Hi,I use W2k and have a toolbar with all my drives on it
at the bottom of the screen, and I have recently purchased a cdr writer, and of course W2K has named it compact disk
as there is my normal cd rom I have two drives named compact disk which can be a bit confusing,
I have tried every means I know to find the drives in
the registry to rename one or both, does anyone know
how to find these drives in the registry.

I have noticed the CD drive usually takes the name of the inserted CD so you just have to now what CD is in what Drive.  Other than that I believe that there is no way to change the name of it
